Painting is silent poetry, and poetry is painting that speaks. Simonides

Suzy Smith

here and here

Suzy Smith is a Wyoming native, who currently resides in New Mexico, after living in California for many years. She has been painting professionally since 1987, and has exhibited her work around the country in various juried art shows, as well as one woman shows, and group exhibitions. Smith is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society

After many years of painting exclusively in watercolor, Smith is now painting in both watercolor and oil."I painted exclusively in watercolor for fifteen years, and it was refreshing to pick up oil painting again. There's nothing quite like the smell and feel of painting in oil, yet each medium presents different problems and different joys."
