Daevid has been painting and drawing since a young age. He studied Fine Arts at Curtin University, and now works as the Project Officer for Young People and the Arts, at the Department of Culture and the Arts. Daevid received the award for best painting at the Joondalup Community Art Awards in 2005, 2007 and 2009, and had a successful joint exhibition at the Breadbox Gallery in 2006. He was a finalist in the Adultshop Erotic Art Prize in 2007 and was chosen to be part of Artrage’s Silver Exhibition in 2009. Daevid is currently finalising an exhibition of contemporary sculpture to be held at Free Range Gallery in September 2010, and has been a finalist in the Black Swan Prize for Portraiture 2010 and 2011.
