Painting is silent poetry, and poetry is painting that speaks. Simonides

Peter Vaz Nunes

Peter Vaz Nunes (1955)

Since his childhood, Vaz has been intrigued by the works of the 17th-century masters. From the age of sixteen, he draws and paints portraits and landscapes, originally working with pencil and pastel.

After having had lessons during the late 1990s in oil painting according to the techniques of the 17th century, he applied himself completely to this technique.

He lives and works in a house with studio at the Bloemgracht in Amsterdam.
