Eduardo Ungar

Eduardo Ungar was born in 1946 and lives in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he develops his professional activity as a painter. He started his artistic work through ceramics. He is specialized in Decorative Painting on Tile, creating several artworks in the 70s in the Mireya Baglietto Atelier. Later he studied and worked at Diana Chalukian and Jorge Sarrible Atelier where he initiated oil painting. 
 He was a Painting and Drawing teacher in Consudec.

He participated in several individual and collective exhibitions in different cities, such as Buenos Aires, Caracas, Paris, Chicago, Miami, New York and Madrid. His works are included in the permanent collections of specialized galleries in Paris, New York, Tel Aviv.

He got several Mentions of Honour and distinctions throughout his career:
 2003 1st Prize “Hoy en el Arte Gallery”, Buenos Aires, Argentina; 1987 Prize/Mención del Jurado at the Exposición y Concurso sobre el Antigo Testamento – “Gina Gallery” in Tel Aviv, Israel. He was also awarded the 1st Prize International Naïf Painting – “Pro Arte Kasper Gallery” in Morges, Switzerland.

Eduardo Ungar nasceu em 1946 e vive em Buenos Aires na Argentina, onde desenvolve a sua actividade profissional como pintor.
 Começou nas artes plásticas através da cerâmica. Especializou-se na pintura decorativa sobre azulejo, tendo realizado diversas obras na década de 70 a trabalhar no atelier de Mireya Baglietto. 
 Posteriormente ingressou no atelier de Diana Chalukian e Jorge Sarrible onde se iniciou na pintura a óleo. Foi professor agregado de desenho e pintura no Consudec.

Realizou diversas exposições colectivas e individuais, destas se destacando a sua presença nas cidades de Buenos Aires, Caracas, Paris, Chicago, Miami, Nova York e Madrid. As suas obras encontram-se em exposição permanente em galerias de representação especializada em Paris, Nova York, Telavive e agora também em Lisboa.

Obteve ao longo da sua carreira diversas distinções e menções honrosas sendo de sublinhar em 2003 o 1º Prémio de Pintura Naïf organizado pela Galeria “Hoy en el Arte” na Argentina, em 1987 o Prémio Mención del Jurado na Exposición y Concurso sobre el Antiguo Testamento concedido pela “Gina Gallery” em Telavive, Israel, e ainda o 1º Prémio de Pintura Naïf Internacional da “Galería Pro Arte Kasper” em Morges na Suiça.
