 American, Born 1948

 One of the most prominent contemporary American realists, Douglas Brega is a painter of portraits, New England homes, sailboats, and old weathered barns. Seeking a reality beneath what appears to the eye, Doug Brega reveals to the viewer a glimpse into the essence of his subject that lies beneath the surface.

 Doug Brega’s gallery exhibits have met with continued success as his art is in constant demand by collectors. He has numerous paintings in public institutions across America, including the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art and Design in Kansas City, the Springfield Museum of Fine Art in Massachusetts and Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Fine Art in Missouri.
