Painting is silent poetry, and poetry is painting that speaks. Simonides

Suzan Schuttelaar

Falsification of how it is
Modern life through new eyes and then
 How guilty is a mother
The stillness of a moment in thought
 How could it be, when
 Saying goodbye or arriving

In each work I try to tell a story that could be anything. Usually with an autobiographical slant. An emotional moment of thought translated into paint on canvas. That's my story. I think it is important that the beholder of a painting can form their own story.
This need not, and even better, not agree with "my story". I strive for personal work
Multi interpretable. What just may be beautiful or ugly.
