Elena Markova creates her artwork in individual, well recognized manner at the joint of symbolism and primitivism. The sources of Elena’s inspiration are found in Russian folk and icon painting.
She populated her paintings with angels, lovers, magic gardens, crating a lyrical poem which proclaimed the beauty of all creation, as well as her unwavering belief in the existence of miracles and in the infinite wisdom of the Creator.
