1973.-1980J. Rozentala Art School, Riga, Latvia

Professional training: J. Rozentals Art School of Riga (1973 - 1980), Painting Department of the Latvian Academy of Arts (1980 - 1986), and holds a MA degree in Fine Arts (1996). Participant of exhibitions since 1980. A member of the Artists' Union of Latvia as of 1987, a member of the B - 13' Association (1993 - 1998) since 1995.
At present he is professor at the Latvian Academy of Arts.
