Alfred Opitz

Alfred Opitz was born in 1943 in Arolsen, Germany. Between 1969 and 1971 live in Stockholm, and then he travel to Nancy (France) where he lives until 1982. During this time, learn techniques of graphic arts in various workshops. After this experience he travel to Lisbon, where he lives actually. Set up in the corrent of european symbolism, invests in compositions that take a detailed image of solitude, of silence and incommunication, sometimes populated by misterious figures held in a misterious suspension. The quality of materials that he use in his work, the expressive power of its forms, the highly communicative power of his color world, are characteristic features of his painting, emphasized its distinctive personality.
